Whimsy Sneak Peeks!

Mabelle, from Whimsy and Stars Studio, has an incredible new release coming up this Thursday, the 28th. I am here to tell you how completely fabulous it is going to be! I have been playing with some of these absolutely cute images this week, so much fun!! I am so excited to share a couple of sneak peeks with you today!

This little cutie is called "Birdhouse Girl".  I used some wonderful My Minds Eye papers that I have been playing with lately, mixed with some Mia's Cottage paper and misc. ribbon from The Angel Company. The sentiment is also from TAC, "Thinking of You". Colored with Copic markers.
How cute is this sweet "Ballerina Teddy Bear"!!? Cuteness!! I embossed the white panel with a polka dot embossing folder. I made the flower from felt and a lovely white button, Sentiment is from another TAC set called " Fairy Birthday". Also colored with Copic markers.

Both of these sweet digi images will be available on Thursday in Mabelle's etsy shop. I hope that you will stop by again tomorrow for another sneak peek or two! These new images are fabulous, and oh so much fun to color, and I have several more to share with you!

Have a wonderful day!

A Sweet Friendship...

Just a quick post to share a card that I made with my hostess group this month. We used the "cracked glass" technique, which is always fun. We made three different cards all using different types of embossing techniques. I used Floral Collage Trio, Script Background, and Background Soup  for this card.

Busy weekend here, lots of chore to finish. I hope that you are having a wonderful weekend!

Whimsy and Stars Sweetness!

Hello and Happy Friday! I don't know where the week (month, year) went, but I am glad that the weekend is here!! I want to apologize for being such a bad blogger lately, I don't think I even have a good excuse. This is the post I had intended for last Monday.  I seem to have "misplaced" the entire month of March, and the first half of April too. How can it possible be the middle of April!! Easter is in less than 10 days! *gasp!*
Today I am sharing a couple of cards I made using some super cute, and adorably sweet, digital images from Whimsy and Stars Studio
This sweet bunny is called "Springtime Basket Bunny", and she is a joy to color! Sentiment is from "I Love Easter" from The Angel Company.
This next card uses "Alex Flowers Gifty". Such a cutie pie!! I am such a huge fan of all of Mabelle R.O. 's artwork. There is a new digi design "With All My Heart", that will be released next week on Tuesday the 19th that is just lovely and would be perfect for Mother's Day!! And what it is even better is there will be a whole NEW collection released on April 28th!!

I hope that you have a great weekend full of fun, thanks for stopping by!

Easter Basket Bonanza Blog Hop!

Welcome to April's Angel Company Blog Hop! This month we were challenged to create an Easter Basket. I would also like to welcome you to join the fun with your own Easter creation weather that be a basket or other Easter item! If you link your project to The Savvy Projects Blog by Sunday, you could win some Blog Candy!!
First up is my little Easter Basket. I used an 8x8 inch piece of white core card stock scored with my Scor-pal, and sanded, to create a woven look. I then folded it into this little box and added a handle to make it into a basket. The little bunny on the front is from "I Love Easter", this is my favorite image from that set, I love to add white fun flock to his little tail.
I also thought I would make an Easter card with a basket! I used up some leftover bits and pieces that were laying on my table too! I had an extra piece of the white core card stock from my basket, so I added some score lines around the edge to create a frame that really shows up after sanding. The 'basket' was made by weaving 1/4" strips of kraft card stock together until I had the right size, then folded over the edges and glued it in place. The handle was made using a couple of circle punches. The stamped image is from "Hedgehog Happiness" a current level C hostess set , sentiment is from "I Love Easter".  I decided to use one of Heather's sketches that has also been setting on my table. I am so happy with how this one came out, what do you think?
I hope that you will join in the fun on this blog hope and add a creation of your own, if not then at least take a tour and see all the fun creations everyone else made! Maybe it will get you inspired to make some of your own Easter projects!! Here is a couple more Easter Basket ideas from a few years ago, Here and Here.
I hope that you are having a wonderful weekend! Thanks for stopping by!!

Finally Friday - The Joy of Easter Cards

Happy Friday and Happy April Fools Day! Can you believe it is already April!? I can't really. Although I am ready to let March go and see what April has in store for us, hopefully it will be a much better month! Today is  "Finally Friday" on the Savvy Projects Blog with a theme of "The Joy of Easter Cards". I hope that you will join in the fun and make an Easter card to link to The Savvy Projects Blog post with this title. You could even win a prize!

I love Spring it is my favorite season. The last few days have even felt like Spring here in my area! The sun has been shinning this week and it's even been warm! Huge change from last week. Our lilac bush is blooming right now and smells so wonderful, I love Spring! Easter is right around the corner too, and that is the theme today. For this card I used " Easter Bunny", such a cute set, and don't you love that carrot border!? Polka dots are from "Background Soup".

I also made Peeps in a Jar, a quick fun project, that makes a great gift item for friends or family. It turns out kind if like like a s'more! If you would like the complete instructions to make your own Peeps in a Jar, check out this  Savvy Projects Blog post.
This is a close up shot of the tag I made for the jar. This cute little image is from "The Joy of Easter" set, and inspired my project! I hope that you will join in the fun with an Easter card or project of your own, be sure to link it so we can all enjoy your creativity!!
Hope that you have a wonderful weekend and that Spring is coming in your neighborhood too!! Thanks for stopping by.
