Life is Too Short...

This is a wonderful little project that I made with my hostess group a couple of months ago. I had found these polka dot file folders in the dollar bins, a long time ago, they were bright and fun and I knew I could do something with them. I think I have the sweetest group of gals in my hostess groups, I love coming up with fun projects to make with them. This is an accordion file folder mini album.
I used several stamp sets from The Angel Company for this project, "Life's Too Short" and "Flourish Trees of Hope" were the sets I used for all the sentiments and words. "Garden Joy" , "Cheery Thoughts", " Little Cupcake", and  "Fall Harvest", were all used for the images.  All the file folders were in different colors and everyone colored their images to match their folder. Some were colored with Copics, some with pencils and OMS.

I love how this project turned out! What do you think?

Love and Joy

It is a beautiful day here in my little corner of the world, hope it is lovely in your area too! I just got home from teaching another Copic Marker Coloring Class, what a great group of ladies. They all did such a wonderful job, I was so proud of how well they all did. I had a lot of fun with this class, I hope they did too.
I figured I should make a quick post so you all don't think I fell off the face of the earth (again) :). This is a simple, quick and beautiful card using the new Maggie line of double sided papers from The Angel Company. I stamped with the Script Background stamp in Palette Bordeaux ink across part of the paper, just for a little more interest. That beautiful label is just one of 7 from another new set called Fundamental Frames, this set coordinates with several of the Nestabilities Label sets, they are all different! The sentiment is from Noble Notes, I just love that font, and there are seniments for all occasions in this set too!! A little touch of satin ribbon and ta-da, a simple, quick and lovely card! I think this would be a great card for Christmas too, in these colors or more traditional reds and greens. I think it is very similar to one they did at seminar.  What do you think??

Hope that you're weekend is just Fabulous!! Thanks for stopping by!

September Angel Art Blog Hop

It's time again for the Paper Wings Angel Art Blog Hop!! This month's theme is "Anything But a Card". With the holidays fast approaching I am trying to think of gift giving ideas, so I created a cute little gift card holder with an added surprise!! This one is Friendship themed, but think of the possibilities for the holidays!!
I started with one of those little tin gift card holders from the craft store, but jazzed it all up with some Angel Company stamps, and card stock.  I used "Cupcake Cuties" and "Fibi and Lilly" stamp sets for this project.

This is what it looks like with the belly band off, and this is what is waiting inside, I used black flocking powder on the little bee, so he is all fuzzy, so cute!

When you pull it open it is a sweet little accordion album with spots for photos, and a pocket at the end for a gift card! I used this project for my hostess group's project this month, they all loved it!  This project is so fun and quick to make, perfect for the up coming holiday season, I can't wait to try it with "Jingle Jolly"  for Christmas!!
Please be sure to stop by all the other participating Angels and see their inspiring ideas. I am sure that they would love it if you left a comment too!!

Fall...

I am not sure what happened to the Summer, it flew by so quickly! Lately the morning the air is a little crisper and cooler a sure sign that fall is on the way. The days however still feel like the Summer, it was blazing hot yesterday.
This is a card I made awhile back with "Just Hanging Out", these scarecrows are so much fun to color, and some of them can double as Christmas elves with a little creative masking! This image was colored with Copic Markers.
I used a pencil eraser to create the polka dots, but now we have "Background Soup" that has a wonderful polka dot background stamp as well as 6 other background builders!!
All stamps and paper from The Angel Company, we are having some really wonderful specials this month! If you would be interested in hearing about any of them please give me a call. You can also see any of the specials by going to www.theangelcompany.net and looking at the promotions page!

Well I am off the work I hope that you have a wonderful day, thanks for stopping by!!
