I'm Back. Finally.

I am back, but oh so far behind. I guess the upside is I have all kinds of things to post here in the next few weeks! *sigh*

Lets start with this sweet card, made with one of Mabelle's cutie pie digi images, from Whimsy and Stars Studio. This image reminds of my daughter, she is just as cute, or cuter, and had this same hair cut for a long time. Although getting her to wear a dress is a rare occasion. We also have a gray kitty that adores her. So sweet. This is one of my all time favorite paper lines from My Minds Eye, I just love the colors and patterns.

Well it is late, so I am going to go get some sleep. It's the first day of baseball tomorrow if the weather cooperates.

Hope that you have a wonderful weekend!

Going Green Week!!

Happy Friday!  Today is the start of "Going Green" Week on the  Savvy Projects Blog, and I am so excited to be the one to get this fun event started! So what does Going Green mean to you?  Do you think about the color green, St. Patrick's Day that is just next week, or how about Eco green, recycle, re-purpose, reuse green!? Or maybe you think of something completely different!? Any, and all of these are fair game to jump in and join the fun all week long! So get crafting some green goodness and add a link to your creation on the Savvy Projects Blog for a chance to win a prize!

I decided to go with Recycled "green" for my project, and hey, I figured I'd shown you all enough Leprechauns for now! So I went through my recycle basket and found a few things to work with...
Just by changing the ink color and embossing folder or die, you can create a completely different 'mood' and look of your card.

If you would like to see what I have done with the rest of that "trash", you will have to come back next week!  Don't forget that you can play along, and if you link your card or project to any of the Going Green Week blog posts over on The Savvy Projects Blog, you just might win a prize!!

March 11 ~ Angela Kelley (that's me!)
March 14 ~ Kerry Urbatch
March 15 ~ Michelle McDaniel
March 16 ~ Heather Scott
March 17 ~ Marisa Alvarez

Tune in Tuesdays - Cards with Flowers

Time for another "Tune in Tuesday" (TNT)! Every week on Tuesdays there will be a different Guest Designer from The Angel Company's Dream Team featuring cards designed around a theme, or style. This week the theme is 'cards with flowers' with Guest Designer Holly Mays.
This is actually a Jr. Legal Pad cover, but it's as close to a card that I have today! For this project I used the set "Beautiful Peony", isn't that flower just lovely. My Grandpa had peony bushes in his yard. They had huge beautiful flowers with unbelievable layers of petals, all in a wonderful shade of pink.  I wish I could grow them here where I live, but so far I have not had any luck with them. I used the free down loadable paper collection, Robyn, from The Angel Company, and colored my flower with Copic markers ( R32,35,37, YG93,95,97,Y32,35) to complement the paper. The sentiment is from "Thoughts and Prayers".
Please be sure to check out Holly's post on the Savvy Projects blog , it is amazing!  If you would like to join in the fun there is a link at the bottom of the post to add your card or project . Anyone can play, just remember Angel company stamps only please.  :)  If you missed last weeks TNT, you go HERE to see all of Rita's cards with animals.
This Friday I will be kicking off "Going Green " week on the Savvy Projects blog, I can't wait to share my cards with you!! And tomorrow Mabelle R.O. has a brand new digi design being released, so , so, cute!! Check back tomorrow and you will see what I mean!
Have a wonderful day! Thanks for stopping by.

Seeing Shamrocks Blog Hop

It is time for another Angel Company Blog Hop! This month we are celebrating one of my favorite holidays, St. Patrick's Day. I have always been fascinated with Ireland, since I was a very little girl I wanted to be Irish. Luckily for me, I fell in love with a really wonderful guy with an Irish name that I now share. So I can sort of claim being Irish, at least in name. St. Patty's Day is also a favorite, because it is my daughters favorite of all holidays, it always has been. Every year she builds a leprechaun trap, and there is a lot of excitement and fun!
For this card I used a set called "Thanksgiving Sweeties", to create a cute little leprechaun girl. I masked the sunflower she was holding and added a punched shamrock that I colored with copic markers and a white gel pen. Sentiment is from "Tag Tidbits"
This little guy is from the same set, I couldn't figure out how to mask his gun and still have him look alright, so I turned the gun into a 'shamrock shooter', for a blast of good luck! Sentiment and shamrocks are from "Cheers to you".

I thought I would end with this little guy. A couple times a month I do an art project in my son's class, today we made these leprechauns, too much fun! I hope that you will follow the blog hop, and check out all the other fun ideas for St. Patrick's Day. Or maybe you feel inspired and want to join in the fun!?
Have a great weekend!
