Just a Couple More...

I know Christmas is all over, but I just have a couple more cards I wanted to share. I really love to make cards that have an ornament attached, this one has an ornament made from a round coaster. I love these snow people from "Merriest Wishes", so fun to color. The sentiment is from "Jingle Jolly", and the paper is from the Maggie SWIC. All stamps and paper are from The Angel Company.
This is a close up of the ornament by itself. There is a place to put a family photo on the back, to share or to keep for yourself!

Here is one more, this little guy is from "Holiday Boys", another fun set to color, sentiment is from "Joyful Ornaments". Paper is from the Reece SWIC.

I hope that you have had a wonderful Christmas, and that your New Year is a safe and happy one!! Thanks for stopping by.

December Angel Art Blog Hop

Welcome to another Angel Art Blog Hop! This month the challenge was to make a project using one or more of our "Gift With Purchase" stamps. I have had this little penguin for quite awhile and had yet to ink it up (*gasp*), so I took this as an opportunity to play a bit. I have had these wonderful shaker cards made easy things in my stash of stuff for a long time, so I thought I would dig them out and use one. I love how this turned out, this little penguin is so fun to color.

Please be sure to stop by the other talented Angels Blogs and see what they have created!

A Cup Of Christmas Tea

I love that book, A Cup of Christmas Tea. Someone had given it to my Mom years ago and it made an impression on me. I thought about it when I was making this project, I wonder what happened to that book?
Anyway, this is a project that I made with my hostess group this month, what a fun set "A Cup Of Love" is. I found instructions for this project on The Cats Pajamas website, Amy Rohl was the designer.  I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it. This is a match book type card/gift card holder, you could use this for so many things, it is just a fabulous project!
Inside there is this lovely sentiment from "Cup of Tea", the holly and tea cup on the front are both from "Cup of Love". Both of these sets are from the fall supplement, the warm wishes sentiment is from "Cuddly Christmas", also in the fall supplement (The Angel Company). I put two tea bags inside the bag/pockets, but you could just as easily add some of those instant coffee pouches from Starbucks and a coffee sentiment! A gift card would also be a nice addition to one of the pockets!

I am not completely ready for Christmas, it has been crazy busy here. But ready or not here it comes!! I am excited to have my kiddos home, today was our last school day until next year! So I am looking forward to baking and other Holiday fun this next week.
Thanks for stopping by, I hope that you are having a wonderful Holiday Season.

Oh My Goodness!!

I made some cards months ago for The Angel Company's Fall supplement. All the samples for the supplement can be seen  HERE. Some of the cards I sent in didn't show up, so I thought that they just didn't make the cut or something. But then a few days ago I was on The Angel Company's home page and what do I find?!?! Two of my cards right there on the home page!!!! Lets just say I am a little bit excited, thrilled even!
This is one of the cards, I used "Cuddly Christmas" for the penguin and sentiment, the snowflakes are from "Jingle Jolly", I think these are my favorite sets this Christmas, of course I have many favorite sets, but I have used these two over and over again this year.
The other card is one that I already posted, but I will share again, I just LOVE this bear!
The snowflakes on this card were made using "Vintage Santa"
I will be bouncing around the house for a whole month  I think!

Hope that you are having a wonderful day today, thanks for letting me share my excitement with you!

A Creative Whim...

The other night I wanted to make something, just for the joy of creating something. I had no plan, no idea what I was going to make. I picked out some paper, and after a few minutes, decided I would make an advent calender for my sons classroom. I fiddled around with a couple different ideas and ended up using a cookie sheet for the base, some magnets and a tiny tin bucket that have been living in my stash of stuff for a couple of years. This is the completed project, I have to say I love how this turned out, I may just have to make up a couple more!! The numbers are on magnets so they can be changed to countdown to the holiday. The extra numbers are kept in the little tin bucket tied to the bottom of the cookie sheet. I used the stamp sets "Hedgehog Happiness" a level C Hostess set, and "The Places You'll Go" to decorate the bottom, along with a little polar white flower soft, for the snow.
Here is a closer look at this cute little hedgehog. I paper pieced the wagon to bring a touch of the patterned paper to the bottom. The rest is colored with copic markers. My son's class is enjoying my creative whim, and I so enjoyed making this fun project!

What do you think?

Thanks for stopping by, hope that your are having a lovely day!!

Fabric Cards

I teach classes at a Crafter's Mall, inside the Crafter's Mall is a wonderful fabric shop filled with amazing fabrics of all kinds. Often while I am teaching my card classes there are quilting classes, and or, gatherings going on at the same time. Some of the quilters wonder in to our classroom just to see what we are up to, and I always enjoy looking in to see what they are doing too. I love quilting, but after my son became a toddler I put it away for a latter day, I guess I just got tired of taking what I just put together apart and starting over, let's just say I was too distracted to do it right! I started thinking (never a good sign) wouldn't it be wonderful to combined these two wonderful hobbies... and wouldn't it be fun to get some of those quilters to try something new.... and so I had a class with cards made with fabric and paper! I think I will be doing this again too as it was a big hit with all my regular paper crafting ladies! So fun and no sewing either, we used an iron on fabric adhesive to adhere the fabric to the card bases. This is one of my favorite cards from the 8 we made in class, I just love this felt poinsettia. I used my spellbinders dies to cut my felt and layered them with glue dots, the center is made from those tiny glass beads. The sentiment is one I will be using a lot from a newer set "With His Glory" from The Angel Company.

Hope that you are having a wonderful day! Thanks for stopping by.

Wintery Acetate Card

Back in June I made this CARD with my hostess groups, it was a cute card and a big hit. Many of my sweet ladies bought the ink to stamp on the acetate, so I wanted to remind them to use it again. I also wanted to show how that same card could be turned into a winter themed card,  just by changing the stamps used! Any winter themed stamp set would work, but I just love this snowman from "Jingle Jolly", this little guy is colored with Copic markers ( BG01, 05, 09, YG03, 17, R20, C1,3, 00). The snowflakes are from "Ornamental Snowflakes", they are just beautiful and work so well for this type of card. I think this is my favorite color combo this year, I seem to be using it for everything lately!
I hope that you all have had a safe and wonderful Thanksgiving! We celebrated the holiday at our house with family this year (our first time!) and thanks to my wonderful Mother in Law and amazing Husband (they cooked the whole meal!! I did stir the gravy, but then it turned out to have lumps...) we had an the most delicious feast. And a big thanks to my Mom who brought homemade bread and all the pies and cheesecake too (Yumm!!). And of course it would not have been so wonderful if it were not for all the family members that came from afar to share the holiday with us!
Have a great day, and thanks for stopping by!!

Sending a Latte

Debbie, a sweet friend, and my very talented downline, gave me a card like this one a couple of years ago. I loved it, and the idea so much. So inspired by Debbie I made this card! Inside is a pocket for a gift card, I am thinking Starbucks. I think I might add holly leaves and berries instead of the hearts for a couple too, just to change it up! The sentiment is from the set "Sending a Latte", from The Angel Company, it is great because it has so many different sentiments to add to the inside! I think I know some great teachers who will be receiving one of these very soon!
Things have been so crazy busy here these last few weeks, but I can see light at the end of the tunnel now!! Looking forward to a wonderful Thanksgiving with family!

Hope that you are having a great day!

Deck the Halls - Angel Company Christmas Blog Hop!

Welcome to another Angel Company Blog Hop! This Month we are decking the halls with festive ideas for Christmas! Anyone is welcome to join the blog hop, the only requirement is that you use only Angel Company stamps for your project. If you do not have a blog, you can upload your project HERE. If you would like more information, or you just want to follow this inspiring hop, you can go HERE.

These are the projects that I made with the wonderful ladies in my Hostess Group this week. This first card was inspired by a card that Debbie, my very talented and sweet down line, gave me a couple of years ago. I loved the colors she used and the way she layered the snowflakes on the heart. So, inspired by Debbie I made this card with a detachable ornament, made from a clear mini album page (mini deco album K-604) and 'Christmas Circles' (T-2945). The sentiment is from 'Vintage Santa' (T-3379). There is a spot on the back of the ornament to add a family photo. This card is flat enough to be sent through the mail easily.

This second project is a snow globe type ornament made form one of our round metal tins (D-102). It is kind of hard to see in this photo, but the trees and the penguin are all popped up, each a bit higher than the other, for more depth. The trees are from a set I just had to have, called 'The Places You'll Go' (T-3351) love it! I added stickles for snow on the branches. The penguin is from the set 'Cuddly Christmas' (T-3390) another favorite.  I seem to be addicted to this color combo lately. For the snow on this one I used a chunky glitter ( that is the glob thing in the "sky") and tiny bead things. We used a finer glitter for the second batch and I think I liked it better. You could also use Flower soft and glitter for the snow, either way this is a cute project with a lot of possibilities!!
I hope you will check back and follow the hop as it grows, there is sure to be some wonderful ideas for Christmas projects of all kinds, please feel free to leave comments as you go too! :)
Enjoy!!

Coco and Mack

Coco and Mack is another new set of stamps from The Angel Company, if you love cute puppies then you will love this set! There are four sweet pups and four sentiments, two of the images are seasonal, fall and Christmas, and two can be used all year long!
For this card I used the Christmas image and pared it with our Reece paper collection. The sentiment is from Thinking of You, my all time favorite, go to sentiment set!
Life has been a little crazy here, and very, very busy too. I am sure it is like that for a lot of us right now. Once I get through the next few weeks, I plan to slow things down and really enjoy the holiday season ( keeping my fingers crossed!). Time just seems to be flying by so quickly!
Thanks for stopping by, hope that you had a great day today!!

You Whooo...

My daughter always wants me to color my stamped images in unusual colors, an I must say that most of the time it turns out so cute, like this little owl here. She asked me to color one purple, and I just loved how it turned out, and it went perfectly with this "Toodle Loo"  ( a TAC Paper) plaid paper too!  This is a new stamp set from The Angel Company called "You Whoo" it is in the fall supplement. Inside the card it reads "Hi!"

The Angel Company Blog Hop- Flavor of Fall

It is time for another Angel Company Blog Hop! This one is all about fall. It is defiantly feeling like fall here in my little corner of the world, we were having a lovely Indian Summer, beautiful sunny days and cool nights. Then just like that, rainy, wet, and cold. But I love Fall all the same, the air is crisp and the leaves turn all kinds of colors, Halloween and Thanksgiving are some of my most favorite holidays. Fall is good!
I found these lovely shadow boxes on super sale and I knew I could make something wonderful with them. I am thinking they will be great gifty items with a set of  four or five different seasonal themed scenes that can be changed for each season! This is my Fall scene, I love these scarecrows and sentiment from "Hanging Out", the pumpkins and crow are from a retired set "Sunshiny Day".  I love how this turned out, and I am excited to get started on the other seasons!
This is a closer view, I used Copic markers to color my images and Penelope paper and cardstock. Go HERE to follow or join in on this blog hop, remember only Angel Company stamps! I hope that you enjoy this blog hop, there are sure to be some amazing and inspiring art work!!

On another note...
I have not forgotten the directions for the door hanger project, it has just been a kind of tough couple of weeks here. I apologize for not getting these directions posted before now, but here they are, better late than never!
Using a piece of 81/2" x 11" cardstock, cut one strip 3 15/16" x 11" (there is a reason for this funky number, really) and one piece 4 1/2" x 9". Score the the 11" piece at 1 1/2".  Score the 9" piece at 1/2, 1 1/2, 2 1/2, 6 1/2, 7 1/2, 8 1/2 inches. Flip over ans score at 1, 2, 7 and 8 inches, this will create an accordion fold on each side.

Apply double sided tape as shown. Add a strip of patterned paper 3 3/4" x6" to the top of the 11" strip of card stock (score mark should be at the bottom) use a nestability circle or circle punch to create to hole for the door nob.

Remove paper on double sided tape and pinch bottom of the accordion fold together, like photo on the right.
Fold up the bottom of the larger strip, add double sided tape to bottom of the fold and adhere to the middle bottom of the "pocket" piece, with the accordion folds on each side. Like photo to the left.
Fold in sides and adhere to create pocket.
Add a 3 1/2" x 4" piece of patterned paper to the front of the pocket and decorate for the theme of your choice! Fill with goodies and give to someone special,it's sure to make their day!!
For this door hanger I used Emma Paper, Kraft Cardstock, and "Thanking God" a level B hostess set, all from The Angel Company. I hope that you will give one of these a try, and if you do let me know I would love to see what you come up with!! This would be a fun and easy project for a Fun Shop Party or a hostess group too!

Have a great day!

These cuties are perfect for Christmas or Winter projects, they are in the new Fall Supplement from The Angel Company, along with a ton of other wonderful new sets. It has been a very busy week and I am so glad it is Friday! I have a free(ish) day for the first time in quite awhile and I am planning on cleaning my house. Not really fun, but really necessary. Life is Too Short...

This is a wonderful little project that I made with my hostess group a couple of months ago. I had found these polka dot file folders in the dollar bins, a long time ago, they were bright and fun and I knew I could do something with them. I think I have the sweetest group of gals in my hostess groups, I love coming up with fun projects to make with them. This is an accordion file folder mini album.
I used several stamp sets from The Angel Company for this project, "Life's Too Short" and "Flourish Trees of Hope" were the sets I used for all the sentiments and words. "Garden Joy" , "Cheery Thoughts", " Little Cupcake", and  "Fall Harvest", were all used for the images.  All the file folders were in different colors and everyone colored their images to match their folder. Some were colored with Copics, some with pencils and OMS.

I love how this project turned out! What do you think?

Love and Joy

It is a beautiful day here in my little corner of the world, hope it is lovely in your area too! I just got home from teaching another Copic Marker Coloring Class, what a great group of ladies. They all did such a wonderful job, I was so proud of how well they all did. I had a lot of fun with this class, I hope they did too.
I figured I should make a quick post so you all don't think I fell off the face of the earth (again) :). This is a simple, quick and beautiful card using the new Maggie line of double sided papers from The Angel Company. I stamped with the Script Background stamp in Palette Bordeaux ink across part of the paper, just for a little more interest. That beautiful label is just one of 7 from another new set called Fundamental Frames, this set coordinates with several of the Nestabilities Label sets, they are all different! The sentiment is from Noble Notes, I just love that font, and there are seniments for all occasions in this set too!! A little touch of satin ribbon and ta-da, a simple, quick and lovely card! I think this would be a great card for Christmas too, in these colors or more traditional reds and greens. I think it is very similar to one they did at seminar.  What do you think??

Hope that you're weekend is just Fabulous!! Thanks for stopping by!
