I love how these cards turned out, the embossing really adds so much to the metal, but the alcohol ink gives it even more! Did you know that you can use your Copic refill inks for this technique! I also lightly sanded the surface after I did the inking technique, just to bring out a little silver color and I think i gives it more depth. Cutting the shapes with the nesties works beautifully and kind of curves the edges so you don't have any sharp spots to worry about.
If you want to try this all you need to do is cut the ends off a soda can , be careful the edges get really sharp!! Cut it down the seam line and fold open, then use a paper cutter to trim edges straight. I then ran it through my Big Shot with one of the impressabilities. Slightly sanded the surface, and added the alcohol ink, 2 separate colors and blended with blending solution. When I had the color I liked, I heat set it and then sanded the surface again to bring back a little silver and give it more depth. Then I cut my shapes and made my cards, I was able to get all three of these cards from one pop can! There are photos below what I did. If you are an Angel and you would like to join us, head on ove to Paper Wings for the details!
