Another Manly Card!

This is another one of the masculine cards from my last class, I really liked this one so I thought I would share it. I do not have any tool stamps, and when I don't have a stamp I go to my punches. This is a super easy way to make a wrench, on the edge of your card stock punch a square. Then line up a circle punch with the corners of the square, for the top of the wrench. For the bottom, punch out a small circle then use a little larger one to create a donut like shape. Glue one to each end of a strip of the same paper and TA-DA, instant wrench!
Now I am off and running again today!

Hope you are having a great day, thanks for stopping by!!

A Cherry Hello

Just another quick post this morning, I think someone turned up the speed dial on my life!! This is one of the "Gift With Purchase" stamps that you can earn during the May/ June Jubilation with The Angel Company. With any $30.00 purchase you can choose one of 4 different stamps as a gift from The Angel Company!! These cherries are great because they are 4 separate stamps, so you ink them up individually!  The cherries on our tree are just starting to get a little pink, that means soon we will have yummy cherries to eat!!!

I hope your day is going great!!

Just one more...

Just one more piggy to share, for now anyway, I promise!  This one is also paired with the More Mimi paper collection from The Angel Company, I love those bright colors.  Crazy busy weekend here, but it is all good stuff so I am thankful for that. I taught couple classes, went to a t-ball game, I should do something about this very messy house, we need to finish a homework project,  went swimming in the neighbors pool! And that was just today!! I hope that you all are having a great weekend too, thanks for stopping by!!

Another Piggy

The Piggy Parade continues, what can I say I have really enjoyed this set! What's not to like about a bubble gum chewing, roller skating pig, with a funny hat!? I think I should had made him kind of grubby though, like he had been out playing in the mud maybe. What do you think??  I have to make this quick again, I have a couple classes this weekend I am busy getting ready for, and I forgot that the kiddos have a minimum day today, yikes, that means I am a bit behind!!

I hope that you are having a really great day, thanks for stopping by!!

Dude....

Just a quick post this morning, I have to get everyone out the door for school and work...*sigh*
Another pig from the "When Pigs Fly" set, paired with Miss Moxie paper collection. My daughter thought that the guitar should be orange (?) I think the sentiment should have been in black, but I still like how it turned out! What do you think?

When Pigs Fly....

I have to say it, I love this card!! It almost has a "simple, clean" look. I don't usually do simple / clean very well, I always want to add a little more to it until it is no longer simple or clean.
This is one of the sets you can purchase this month and next month at a reduced price! It is part of The Angel Company's May/ June Jubilation, with a $30.00 purchase you can get this adorable set for just $12.95!! The sentiment and circle are from a retiring set that I use a lot, called "Always Remember", right now it is 25% off ! Don't miss out on these great deals contact your Angel today!!

I hope your day is wonderful, thanks for stopping by!

Mother's Day

It is funny how one day can have so many different meanings as you go through life. As a kid Mother's day was all about trying to surprise my Mom, my Mom is almost impossible to surprise. Honestly, I think I have only really surprised her a few times. I  would make things and hide them, inside the house, outside the house, it did not matter, somehow she always managed to run across them. Once I found and old enamel coffee pot (she has always loved those) it was buried out in the horse pasture. I felt like I had struck gold, and I hid it for months. I kept moving it around so she didn't accidentally find it. I hid it in the barn, in a blackberry bush, even up in a evergreen tree in the yard! As Mother's day approached I brought it in and buried it in the back of my closet, I wanted to fill it with lilacs and give it to he Mother's day morning, big mistake. She decided I needed to clean my closet, and she helped me by shoveling out my hiding spot! It is still really hard to surprise her even today, and I am much stealthier than I was at 7!!  Mom still has that coffee pot too!
As an adult I worked as a floral designer for many years before I had kids of my own. Mother's Day was exhaustion, and mass production, but at least I was making beautiful things that might just make someones day. Let's just say I was not a big fan of Mother's day at this point of my life.
 And then she came.

Then a few years later he joined us.
Mother's Day now means so much more than I ever dreamed it could. I am so thankful to have these two amazing, wonderful, spunky, sometimes ornery, little people call me Mom!

Happy Mother's Day to all the Mom's (in whatever form that takes) and Grandmas out there!!

And a special Happy Mother's Day to my wonderful Mom Pat, and my wonder Mother in law, Merrie. I am also so thankful for both of you!!

"A Quilter's (crafters) Journal" and Upcoming Card Class Info

Another upcoming class! This is a super fun journal that I designed with Quilters and Crafters in mind. Inside this lovely book there are dividers that you can customize, on each divider there are pockets to hold patterns, swatches, or templates. Inside the front cover I made the pockets clear, so you could tuck color, or fabric samples inside, but still be able to see them without taking them out! Although it has a quilt theme on the out side, I think this would be wonderful for any one, as a journal or to keep track of ideas. I plan to use mine to keep track of card and scrapbook sketches that I really like! It would also make a great gift!!

This class will be held Saturday May 15th at 2:00 at The Crafters Mall,  (530) 246-2056
Please contact the store if you would be interested in joining me for class, or if you would like a kit!!

This months card class will be all about the Boys and Men we love, we will be creating 8 different masculine cards.       Masculine cards are always a little  tough for me to make, I guess because I love ribbon and frills too much! But I have to say I am really liking these cards that I made for this class. Maybe it's the beautiful My Mind's Eye Papers, or my new fun wood grain embossing plate. What do you think??

May Card Class: Cards for Him, will be held Saturday May 15th at 10:00, at The Crafters Mall  (530) 246-2056. Please give them a call if you would like to join me, or if you would like a kit!!

( I know these owls are kind of "cute" for a guy, but I was kind of thinking about cards for boys too)

Thanks for stopping by!!

"A Splash of Summer!"

Can you believe Summer is almost here!? Spring is just flying by, holy cow!! If you visit regularly, I apologize for being MIA, it has been a little crazy here at my house. Anyway, this is a mini album that I am doing for an upcoming class at Scrappin' Friends.  I love this paper line from Fancy Pants, it's called "Rusted Sun".
This is a 6x6 album and it is put together with the Bind it All. The cover is a Bind it All "cover up", so you do not see the ring on the outside, kind of fun, more of a polished look. Here are a few of the inside pages, my favorite is the pop up chair page!
This class will be held Friday May 14th at 5:30 PM, if you would like to join us, or if you would like a kit, please give them a call at Scrappin' Friends (530) 722-9200
Thanks so much for stopping by!!
