Photo Album in a Box

Have you ever made something that you just couldn't part with? Here is mine, I made this for a contest, but just couldn't let it go, it is a photo album in a box! I love these things, they are so easy to make, yet they have a big impact! It's a gift you can open again and again. This one is made using the Genevieve paper collection from the Angel Company. I think that this is my most favorite paper collection, the colors are so rich and vibrant, what's not to love? I also used DCWV card stock that I sanded for an aged look, most of the stamps that I used are now retired. I even broke into my favorite stash of buttons for the lid. Enjoy!!

Yo Ho! A Pirate Life's for Me!!

This is a 12 x 12 scrapbook layout that I did last year, it's of my sweet son at Halloween. I have not been scrap booking so much lately, but when I look at these pages it makes me want to. Time goes by so quickly, my sweet boy is now more interested in Super Hero's and Lego's, it has been awhile since we had a 'High Sea Adventure'. Thank goodness for photos and scrap booking, we can look back and savor all those magical moments again!
For this project I used a Stampin' Up set "Ahoy Matey" and the "Matey's Map" wheel. I used craft card stock and colored it in with water color crayons. Thanks for looking!

Design Team Project

This is a project that I made some months ago, for the Paper Wings Design Team, I am honored to be part of this talented group. Paper Wings is web site that focuses on Angel Company stamps, there is a beautiful gallery with lots of wonderful creations that is open to the public. The design team, "The Wingers", have a special gallery just for members of " Paper Cuts" ( those that pay a small membership fee) once a month we fill it with new exiting goodies! This is one of my first projects for the design team, I used a reverse masking for the heart and sponged the ink in. The stamp sets used are "Swirly Gigs" and "Love Doodles" from The Angel Company. I love making stamped candles, they are so quick, and make the nicest gifts. Hope you enjoy it!

Oldies But Goodies!

These are some cards I made last year, but they are still some of my favorites ever! I used the same stamp set for both, The Angel Company's "pull up anchor". I also used the exact same layout, just different colors. I wanted to show how you could use the same set and layout, but create a totally different feel by changing the colors and focal image. Both images are colored with water color crayons, still one of my favorite coloring mediums. Enjoy!!

Happy Easter!

Here's wishing you a Happy Easter ! My friend Kemi taught me to make these mini pop up cards, this is my first one! They are really fun to make, but they are not quick! I want to figure out the measurements so that I can make them in all sizes!! Have a great weekend!!

Spring Swap Card

This is a card that I made for a swap I was in recently. I normally don't find myself using pastel colors too often, I tend to go for the brighter tones, but I really liked how 'soft' this turned out. I used a new set called 'fancy swirls', I am really loving this set!! The butterfly is from 'retro butterflies', a level A Hostess set, from The Angel Company. The sentiment is from my new favorite greetings set, 'ordinary greetings'. Enjoy!

This is an older post, but it worked great for the Angel Blog Hop using Floral Collage Trio. Make sure you stop by the other Angels who are participating in this blog hop to find some more inspiration using this wonderful stamp set!

Pansies and violets are some of my most favorite flowers, and I think that this stamp set, "floral collage trio" from The Angel Company is going to be a favorite too. This is my first attempt at 'cracked glass' I like the look of it and I think I will try it again. I really love how this card turned out, hope you enjoy it too!

8 oz. Easter Basket Tin Kits !!

Here is another 8 oz. "Easter Basket" Tin. I made this as a sample for Scraps of Life, Toni will be making up kits to purchase at the store, so if you are interested , get in there and get your kit before they are gone!! Wouldn't this be so adorable for a baby shower, in soft pastels, you could tuck a onsie and a pair of socks along with a gift card inside. And the new parents could use it to hold little mementos like hospital bracelet, first clip of hair, etc. Oh the possibilities!!

"Z" Cowboy

I have been having so much fun with my score pal! This is a 'z' fold card, my first one, I think I am going to have to make more... too, too fun!! The stamps and the paper are from The Angel Company, "Wild West" is the name of the main stamp set , I also used "ordinary greetings" for the happy birthday sentiment. The paper is one of my all time favorites "rustic chic". I guess I am really liking these chubby cheeked kiddos lately, they are just so great to color!! Leave me a comment and let me know what you think. Thanks for looking!

Mojo Owl

The other day I was making some samples for Scraps of Life ( my favorite scrapbook store!) my creative mojo was not with me. So flipping thru some magazines to try to get my juices flowing, I spotted a paper pieced owl by Kim Hughes (Feb. Paper Crafts page 98) I decided to give it a try. Isn't he cute!! So I found my mojo again, and now I need to get back to creating! Have a great day!!
***I had some questions about this card, the owl is made useing different sized circle punches. I figured out where I wanted him to sit on the card front, then I drew the tree on a scrap of craft cardstock, and cut it out. The leaves are just a heart punched out then cut in half, I used the same heart punch for his little 'hair do'. I used chalks to shade the tree and leaves. I think I will make some more of these in different sizes with different papers. Thanks for looking!! ***

Easter Basket Tin

Ready or not Easter is just around the corner! This is an 8oz. round tin, that makes the cutest little "basket". I used my 'running stitches' stamp set from The Angel Company, on craft card stock to create the basket weave. The Cropadile punches right through these tins like butter, to add a handle. All the flowers are made with 2 different sizes of punches from EK Success, and the centers are 'dew drops'. A touch of pink velvet ribbon around the edge of the lid, and tah dah! Quick and easy and oh so cute! I think I will have to try making some using some pretty spring papers!! Thanks for stopping by, have a great day!

Sweet

Aren't these little girls so sweet! And oh so fun to color!! The ballerina is an ATC (artist trading card) for a swap on Paper Wings, she is part of a new set from The Angel Company, called 'Twinkle Toes'.
The card was made in under 10 minutes out of scraps on my work table, this little girl is also from a new set called 'Ice Cream'. All the papers used, are from the 'Mimi' Collection, also from The Angel Company. I hope you enjoy them!
