Juliette Purse Mini Album

I made this Purse Mini Album using my Scor-Pal and a handful of chipboard coasters, for the news letter over on Paper Wings. I covered all the coasters in the different papers from the Juliette line from The Angel Company, love that paper! The stamp set used was "bookoo blessings" also from The Angel Company. I was going to decorate all the pages, but ran out of time. Now I think I will wait to see what I will use it for, maybe a special gift.

Wedding Cake Box

I have been really busy, making all kinds of things, but unfortunately, I can not show you any of them just yet! So I found another oldie but goody project from last year, about this time. I made this as a display item for Scraps of Life, a local scrapbook store where I teach classes, and buy lots paper! They had gotten the Cutter Bee 1-2-3d paper crafting system and I just had to try it out, so I made this. It is three round boxes that I made out of doodle bug embossed papers. They are stacked and glued together, but each one still opens up so you can put thing in them. I punched all those flowers out of the Doodle Bug sugar coated paper and glued them together, that took the most time for the whole project! The topper is just a scalloped circle with the center cut out, and I free handed the little birds. Lots of Doodle Bug bling too! Wouldn't this be great for a bridal shower, or wedding gift to be wrapped in. I was, and still am very happy with how this turned out. Hope your day is going great!!

Mini Album in a Tin

I was part of a Prop Swap on Paper Wings recently, and this is what I came up with to send. I made the "purse" out a small tin (you know the ones every one was putting the nuggets in) with a clear front on the lid. For this one I covered it with Miss Moxie papers from The Angel Company, and some nice velvet ribbon I had on hand. I made the little accordion album from card stock and Miss Moxie papers as well. I didn't do any stamping on this, because I wasn't sure what it would be used for, and I thought it would be nice if my fellow swappers could add their own touch to make it more personal. This was what I first thought of when I got these little tins, and I really like how it turned out. Hope you had a wonderful weekend!!

Circle Sampler

I love this stamp set from The Angel Company, it's called "circle sampler", it's so fun to use. I like to accent sayings or words, like I did here with 'beyond grateful', from the "more abundance" set. But you can also use it to make the most beautiful patterned paper, in just the colors you want, as I did here for the background paper. Hope you are having a lovely spring day, where ever you might be!

Funky Fish Card

This is another swap card, that I forgot to post! I love these silly fish from "Something's Fishy", it's the same set from The Angel Company, that I used on a note book in February. They are just so fun and funky, great to color too! The swirls are from "Curls and Swirls", and the sentiment is from "Just Because", also from TAC. The fish is on pop dots for a little dimention, and I used my glitter pen to add some sparkle to all the scales. Hope you are enjoying you day!

Think Pink

Here is another "old" card, I made this last October for a Think Pink swap, loved how it turned out. (thought it tied in nicely with my last post too!) And I didn't have time to take any photos of anything new, so...
For this card I used three shades of pink card stock from the Bazzil mono pack, pink/red violets. All the stamps are from The Angel Company. I stamped and cut out all the flowers from the set "Blooming Builders", some are on pop dots, they all have stickles on them. The swirls on the corners are from the set " Swirly Gigs", and the sentiment is from the set "His Angels". Well I have got to run again and finish my errands, hope you are having a lovely Spring day, it is so beautiful here today, and warm! AHHH Spring!! Hope it is nice in you neck of the woods, have a great weekend!

Cards for Bridgett

Here is a rainbow of "Ice cream " goodness! These cards are going to be sent to another Angel, Bridgett, who is going to be having a big "Stamp Out Cancer' fundraiser with the proceeds going to help fight cancer. If you would like more information , you can visit her blog " www.hoosierstamper.blogspot.com" And if there are any other Angels out there who would like to join me and send her some cards for her event, I am sure she would really appreciate it!! It is a really good cause, who of us has not been touched by this disease in some way?

All the stamps are from The Angel Company, 'ice cream' and 'just because', (what a great sentiment set that one is!) Card stock is DCWV, from the brights stack. Hope you are having a beautiful spring day!!

A Simple Card

I have a group of really wonderful gals that get together each month for a hostess group. ( Hi guys!!) Each month we have a swap, this is the card that I made for this months swap. I was not so exited about this card, it seemed so plain, like it was missing something. But I have to say, it has really grown on me, and I am enjoying it's simplicity. All the stamps are from The Angel Company, the saying is from "Treasure it", the leaves are from "Pretty Posies", and there is a flower thing (hard to see on this card) from "Blooming Builders". I used "landscape" palette ink, stamping off to get the lighter color. I stamped a whole sheet of white card stock with the leaves and flower things, then cut it to the size that I wanted. I used the lightest green from the Bazzil mono pack of greens, as the base layer, and the darkest for the layer under the saying. The scalloped rectangles were cut using nestibilities, and I added three green dew drops to finish it off. I think I might make some more like this! Have a great day!!

Sisterhood of the Blogging Stampers 16

This sounded like fun so I decided to join! Now I am supposed to tell my new 'sisters' something about myself. My name is Angela, and I have been married for (nearly) 10 year now to the most wonderful guy in the world (in my opinion). We have two kiddos, that keep me busy , make me laugh, and generally make life more interesting. I have been stamping for about three years, and paper crafting as long as I can remember (all my allowance as a kid went to paper, markers, glue, art stuff. Hmmm, not so different from now!).
I just recently started this blog and am having so much fun with it, although I am not what anyone would consider computer literate!
I have been a demonstrator for The Angel Company for about a year and a half now and love it. I have also been teaching classes at a local scrapbook store for a little more than a year. (A big Thank You to Toni, and all the wonderful ladies that come to my classes!!)
I hope you enjoy visiting my little blog, and maybe find something to inspire you!! Have a great day!!

Technical difficulties....

I am having some "technical difficulties", for those of you who do not know me, I am not very computer savvy, at all! For those of you who do know me go ahead and laugh!! Three other wonderful, and very talented bloggers have given me awards in the last week, and mentioned my little blog on their sites. I am supposed to show the award here and give it to other bloggers that I think should receive it. But honestly, I don't know how. So thank you so very much Julie of Paper Jewels, Carol of Stamping Carol, and Diana of Memory Crafter!! Thank you all so much, I really appreciate it!! You guys totally made my day, several days in a row!!!

"We're Cows, we're remarkable Cows..."

Does anyone else have the Philadelphia Chickens CD? Remarkable Cows is the first song on that CD, and the whole time I was making these cards, that song was playing in my head! If you have not heard this CD, then you should check it out, especially if you have young children, great music, fun lyrics, just good stuff! Anyway, I digress, I am very exited to share this card, I love how it turned out!! This is a new set from The Angel Company, called "An 'Utter Birthday?", so cute!! I knew that I wanted to make a "tent topper card" (thank you Michelle Wooderson), I was not planning on so much yellow, but it worked so I went with it. The cow spots on the bottom strip were made with the same set, but the tag was just doodled. I added some sparkle to the moon with my glitter pen , and to the stars with a little stickles. I hope that you enjoy this one as much as I did!!

Office Supply Challenge Mini Album

This was another challenge from Paper Wings awhile back. This challenge was to use office supplies that you have in your desk to make something else. For this mini album, I used CD's ( the ones that come in the mail, that you don't ever use!) and covered with Cha Cha paper from The Angel Company. The purple is Bazzil card stock, from their mono packs, it worked really well with the Cha Cha papers. I used my crop-a-dile to punch the holes, I love that thing, it is so easy and punches thru all kinds of items. I used binder rings to hold all my CD's together, and tied with a bunch of coordinating ribbon, tah dah! For the front I cut out a couple of flowers from the patterned paper, used scraps from my pages, and a tag from the tags sheet (that comes with the paper pack). I used the stamp set "sweet sayings", for my title. I hope that you are having a wonderful weekend, enjoy!!

Thanks!

Yesterday was an amazing day, this little blog that I just started had 1000 hits already! I am stunned and amazed, and I just wanted to say THANK YOU, to those of you who have stopped by and left a comment, or just popped in to look, I really appreciate it! I will try to keep things fresh every day or two. I have been inspired by so many REALLY talented people and their blogs, I hope that I can do that for someone too.
Yesterday I also added a side bar ( I think that's what it is called) with some of my favorite blogs, please check them out, they are all incredible artists.

Clamshell Mini Album

Awhile back there was a challenge on Paper Wings to create something, using one of the clam shell boxes that our stamps come in, this is what I came up with. It is a mini album, the first page is attached to the lid, so when you open the box the pages open up. The last page is the actual box, wouldn't it be great to add a pocket to tuck a little memento? I used a light weight chip board for the pages so they are nice and sturdy. The papers and stamps used are both from The Angel Company, the paper is so bright and funky, it's an 8x8 pad called "kaleidscope gilrz", and the stamp set is a really fun one, "girlz & boyz". I have since seen so many wonderful and really creative things made with these boxes. It's fun to challenge yourself to look at something really plain and ordinary, and then try to find a different way to use it. What's sitting around your house that you might use to make a mini album or something else wonderful?
