Jr. Legal Pad Cover Directions...
I had a few requests for directions for these little notebook covers. So here you are!
Take an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of card stock and score at 2 5/8", 2 7/8", 8 1/8", and 8 3/8" (on the 11" side). Fold on score lines. (You will have what looks almost like a gate fold card) This is the basic cover and you can decorate anyway you like! For the ones pictured below, I layered one 4 1/2" x 7 3/4" piece of card stock, with one 4 1/4" x 7 1/4" piece of card stock, that I had stamped ( you could use some beautiful patterned paper here too.) Embellish as desired... I would love to see what you do with this! Have fun!!

Fun Note Books
These are one of my favorite things to make! Inside is a Jr. legal pad, to jot down notes, messages, or design ideas. They are fairly quick and easy to make and are a great gift item too! All the stamps used are from The Angel Company, papers are Bazzil Mono Packs. Stamps used for the aqua note book, 'floral dingbats' and 'elegant sentiments. For the pink notebook I used, 'aged ornaments" and 'elegant sentiments'. For the green note book I used 'fancy curls' and again the 'elegant sentiments'.
It's fun to make your own background paper like this with stamps! It's unique and different and adds a personal touch to your creations, give it a try!!

AAAHHHHH, Summer!
I just love these goofy cows! This is a swap card that I made awhile back, for my fabulous monthly Hostess group! I used "An Utter Birthday" which is four of the cutest cow images ever an a couple of sentiments too. For the sentiment on this card though, I used another set, "Life Thoughts". But the thing I am really exited about this card is, the cow spots! The cow spots that come with the cows are small, I wanted bigger spots! Then it dawned on me.... in another new set,"Springtime" there is a cloud stamp, hmmm? Well what do you know, black clouds make great cow spots!!
The new catalog from The Angel Company will be here any day!!! I am so exited, I have read on other sites that many Angels have received theirs already! Hurry up mail!! Hope you are having a wonderful day!!

Recycle, Reuse, ...
Another Challenge I hosted on Paper Wings for Online Seminar, this one was, Recycle , Reuse, make something creative out of something you would normally throw away. This is my sample, I cut up a soda can and ran it thru an embossing folder! I am so exited by the possibilities! If you try this be really careful when you are cutting up the can, it is really sharp when it is all jagged! I also would round the corners if I did this again, but other than that it's really cool! The aluminum is so light it really didn't add anymore weight than a few layers of paper would. I used the stamp sets Bitty Bugs, and Tag Tid Bits, from TAC . What can you think of to use in a creative way that you would normally toss out? I have a few Schwann boxes that I want to make into something, I have trouble tossing them out because they are such nice boxes!! Have a great day!!
Single Layer card
I have a lot of trouble making single layer cards, but I really like how this one turned out! This was another challenge on Paper Wings, and because I really find these difficult, I thought I would give it a try. I used a set called 'Build a Buggie', it's so fun, you could make all kinds of different bugs with this set. The flourish is from another set called 'Curls and Swirls' and the sentiment is from a hostess set. All these stamps are from The Angel Company. Hope your day is wonderful!

Birthday Countdown Calender
This is my next class project to be held at Scraps of Life on June 14th, it's a really fun Birthday Countdown Calender!
I designed it using My Minds Eye Star Bright Collection of papers, with a little Bo Bunny, and Bazzil card stock. I chose papers that I felt were somewhat neutral and could be used for a girl or boy, but were still bright and fun. Using the clipboard, you can change out the photo from year to year, or from child to child in your family. The numbers are held on with magnets, making them easy for kiddos to change. I added a spiffy pocket to the bottom to hold all the numbers for easy access and storage.
I thought this would be a fun way to build the anticipation for an upcoming birthday (not that, that is really necessary at our house), and make each of my kids feel really special as their birthday approaches.
I am so happy with how this project turned out!! Hope you are having a wonderful day, thanks for stopping by!!
