Just a quick little post, so you don't think I have fallen off the face of the Earth again! This is a card from my class last Saturday. Yes, I gave in to the whole cut up a book and make pretty flowers thing that is so all over the place right now. And I have to say after cutting that first page, it gets a little easier, but I did go and buy a damaged book at an old book store for this. There is this funky little used book store here in town, I had never been in (because I have a weakness for books). It was like something out of Harry Potter, books were stacked everywhere, and there were only little paths through the store! I managed to escape the store with only a craft book for my kids and the older kind of beat up book for flowers! But boy were there some really cool books in there!!
I hope that you are having a great day, and Than You so much for stopping by!

Sounds like a great adventure! :) I have just one book for cutting too...it gives it almost a second life.
Fabulous flower, Angela! I'm going to have to go on the hunt for books myself, as well as a Sizzix flower die :)
Love your paper flower--what punch did you use? I have made them before using my scallop punch but I love this one. It just adds the perfect touch to this card. TFS.
NICE CARD. i LOVE THE COLOR COMBINATION. THANKS FOR SHARING.
Cool card! Love the flower!
Very pretty! Love the color combo!
Oh I love the card! It's beautiful!! The book store sounds great! I love going into book stores. I haven't bought any old books yet for this technique but I thought I'd try to hit up a few yard sales and see if I can find some really cheap books that maybe aren't in the best shape so I wouldn't feel so bad about cutting them up!
I'm such a book lover... it will be hard for me to cut up a book... but I soooo like this! Great job, love the punch too!
OH oh! I love this! That patterened paper is so super cute! What a great card!
