Are you a coffee or tea drinker? I am definitely not a coffee girl, and yet I love coffee. I love the smell and I love the coffee shop, mostly because often I meet my friends there, and it's always nice to be with your friends! We get together and catch up, we laugh a lot, we support each other when things are not as good as they should be, we laugh a lot, we make plans, did I mention we laugh a lot? Or we just meet there and move on to the next location together! Coffee shop = Friends, so the smell of coffee and the coffee shop gives me a warm fuzzy feeling. This week and next week there is a fun celebration over on Paper Wings to celebrate Paper Wings 3rd birthday and our new Angel Company catalog (which is just amazing)!! There are lots of fun challenges going on. I am hosting a challenge to create something card, scrap page, altered item, with a coffee or tea theme, using Angel Company stamps and papers. If you are an Angel please join us there are several fun challenges, something for everyone. If you are not an Angel, there is a wonderful gallery filled with inspiring creations to look at and enjoy!!
This card was made using "Coffee Talk" and Cha Cha paper from TAC. I colored the cup with copic markers to match my paper, the steam is a die cut flourish with a little shimmer from my glitter pen.
Hope that you are having a wonderful day!!

Something New....
How about a look at one of the brand new stamp sets that will be debuting in the new Angel Company catalog (I hope)!? The new catalog was reveled yesterday, and I may be lucky enough to have some of my designs in this one!! :o I am so excited I can hardly wait to see!! This is one of the sets TAC sent to me to work with, "Just Ducky", so cute!
The sentiment is from "When Pigs Fly", the paper is Rustic Chic.
This is another one with a very similar layout,
but different colors. I like to do this to show how color can really change the look and mood of a card, even with the same layout! Paper on this one is from Mia's Cottage, (and MME scraps that were on my desk from my last class!)
I hope that it is alright to be posting these images, I was going to wait til next week when I actually had my new catalog, but I have seen other Angels posting sets that they worked with, and I am just so excited!!
Have a great day!!

Sweet Friend
Another card from my class last Saturday. Super simple, but I love it, so bright and summery! The paper is from My Minds Eye, the stamps used are retired from The Angel Company.
I am waiting patiently (sort of) for our newest catalog to be released this week!! There will be 80 new stamp sets, and a new line of paper!!! The catalogs are due to ship starting Thursday!! Unfortunately it will most likely be next Monday or Tuesday before they get to me *sigh*.
Hope that your day is sunny and bright! Thanks for stopping by.
Edited to add: Just wanted you all to know I did not make the strawberry, it was a die cut shape that goes with the paper line. The paper is from the MME Quite Contrary - Mary Mary. If you wanted to paper piece this berry it would be fairly easy to do by cutting an oval out of the pink polka dot, a circle out of a lime green- cut the circle in half jaggedly for the leaves, and add a stem and flourish to the top in the same lime green or a touch darker green. It would be really cute!!

Card Class
Just wanted to share a quick peek at a couple of cards for my class this coming Saturday June19th. We will be creating a total of 8 unique cards, using this beautiful paper collection from My Minds Eye!
The kiddos have been on vacation for a week now, I really forgot how little you can get done with them home! But we are having a great time together, in between their bickering anyway. Why is it that siblings feel the need to harass each other?
Anyway I have got to run to town today and go shopping our cupboards are bare! I hope that you are having a wondeful day and enjoying the sunshine. If you are interested in taking this class you can call The Crafter's Mall at (530)246-2056 to sign up,hope to see you there!

You're a Hoot
Just a quick post , I thought I would share this fun Bookmark card with you. I will be making one like this with my Hostess group tomorrow. This card uses a couple of sets from The Angel Company "Be Square", those cute little owls, and "What a Hoot". These are really fun cards to make and they could be made for any occasion too.
This is the inside flap that is perforated and can be removed and used as a book mark.
And the inside.
I hope that you are having a really great weekend, thanks for looking!

Cupcake Cuties -Acetate Card
Today was the last day of school for my kiddos, so I spent all morning at the elementary school at a face painting station! It was a lot of fun. So now the kiddos will be home, and to my relief, the school schedule is going on vacation too!! Everyone will be much happier being able to sleep in an hour longer.
Yesterday was my Hostess group get together, I have the sweetest gals in my groups and I just enjoy them so much! I have some new gals this time around and some of them are card makers so I am going to be doing at least one card every time we get together. Yesterday we made this card, it's an acetate card. I love this little girl with her giant cupcake, it is in a set from The Angel Company called "Cupcake Cuties", and the flowers are from a set called "Awesome Blossoms". If you have never made an acetate card you should give it a try they are too fun and the possibilities are endless!
Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you are having a terrific day!!

Birthday Wishes
This is a quick card that I threw together at my last Hostess Group meeting, just to show how quick a card can be put together, but still be beautiful. The stamp set I used is from The Angel Company, it's called "Birthday wishes". This set is one that I struggled with, and now that I have finally embraced it and am enjoying it, it is retiring!*sigh* But that is good for you, because right now ( through the month of June!) you can get this set for 25% off!! The paper is Willougby, also from The Angel Company, one of my favorites.
I hope that you all had a wonderful holiday weekend, I know that we sure did! Thanks for stopping by!!
