Christmas in July Day 3 and Something Summery too!

Quick post today, with a couple more Christmas cards to inspire you to get a jump start on all your Christmas crafting!! I am still keeping to the challenge of using everyday papers for Christmas projects. This paper is from the Willoughby SWIC and card stock collection, from The Angel Company. This collection one of my all time favorites!  I paired it with a simple sentiment from Joyful Ornaments, and this beautiful poinsettia flower from Poinsettia. I colored this flower twice, and cut out the center portion of one flower so that I could layer it on top of the first . I used pop dots to make more 3-D. I also did not line up the petals exactly, I thought it gave it a fuller look, by mismatching the petals.I finished it off by adding a tiny little bit of gold shimmer to the veins in the petals, with my stardust gelly pen.
For this next card I used the Winchester SWIC and card stock collection from the Angel Company. I love the deep purples and blues in this paper, then it has just a touch of rust that sets it all off. I used Ornamental Snowflakes embossed with white embossing powder for my background paper, so pretty, and easy too! I paired it with a beautiful sentiment from Holiday Wishes, a touch of ribbon, and a few rhinestones, and Ta- Da!
Both of these cards would be easy to make multiples of, although I would leave off the popped up layer of the poinsettia if I were making multiples. What do you think? Are you feeling inspired to make some Holiday cards yet? There is more inspiration over on the Savvy Projects blog today, Paula-Kay has an adorable card to share with you, check it out! Tomorrow Michelle McDaniel will have something wonderful to share too!!
How about a little bit of Summer now too!?
This is one of Mabelle's new summertime digis, so, so, cute!! To find this little sweetie hop over to Whimsy and Stars Studios. This is one of 10 new images Mabelle released last month, all adorable too! Check it out if you haven't already!

I hope that you are having a wonderful day today and that sunshine is filling your soul with joy!!
Thanks for stopping by!
