Sad, Sad News...

Life is full of detours. It is with such sadness that I share this news with you, The Angel Company has closed it's doors after 14 years of bringing us delightful and inspiring stamps and paper products. Here is the official letter from Mischelle Smith:

"It is with great sadness that I must announce we are hanging up our wings. These past several years our industry has faced enormous challenges and as a result, we have seen many companies close their doors. We continued to hope we could see The Angel Company through this recession and back into prosperous days and we held onto this hope as long as we could.

One of the largest challenges affecting each of us is our industry not being able to support all of the direct sales companies in our field. Even in a healthy economy, we are a niche market trying to compete for a very limited number of distributors. As a small company, this has been a grueling challenge for us. Times are tough for everyone ~ in direct sales and retail environments.

I would like to thank each of you for being an customer and Angel these past 14 years. Indeed, it has been a pleasure to serve you. -Mischelle"

I have been an Angel with TAC for 5 years and have loved every minute of it. I started this adventure for myself, but as in most things it developed into something quite different. Opportunities opened up that I had never considered, and before I knew it I was teaching classes, and more classes... Sharing my love of this fabulous hobby/craft with others, sharing the joy of creating with others. Sometimes others who felt that they had no creative abilities at all, what a joy to see that look of excitement when they realized they had just created something beautiful all by themselves!!  I have made life long friends I might not ever have met otherwise. I gained confidence in myself and my talents and I gained an identity outside of "Mom". I tried out for Design Teams, and got spots on them!! I have been inspired and amazed by the talent and kindness of my fellow Angels, some of whom I was blessed to have met this summer at Seminar.
Seminar, I have not even processed all the wonderful things that happened for me there yet!! I got to meet all these wonderful gals that I admire so very much, my Super Heroes,  in person!! Everyone of them were sweet and kind and wonderful!  I never dreamed that something I made would be on the cover of our catalog, or that I would receive the Angel of The Year award!! What!??! How is that possible?!
I could go on and on, this adventure has given me so very much that I am so deeply thankful for, all the while doing something that I love. My cup is very full! The best part is I get to keep all these things. Thank you Mischelle Smith, and everyone at TAC, past and present for this wonderful adventure!! I am truly going to miss your sweet company!
A very special Thank You to all of you amazing girls in my Hostess groups, past and present! You all ROCK!!  I appreciate you more than words can express, each of you were a huge part of this adventure and my success. I  will continue teaching classes and having monthly groups, and sure hope you will continue to join me!! Hugs to you all!!
If you made it this far, thanks for hanging in there, I just needed to share what was in my heart today. Sorry no eye candy... I will be back Sunday with a bunch of other Angels for a special blog hop to celebrate The Angel Company and all the wonderful stamps and products they brought us! I hope you will join us.

Hope that your day is filled with unexpected joy! :)
