This is a fabulous set, and it is perfect for the "chalkboard" style that is so popular right now!

Birthday Cowboy

I have not made anything for awhile, still trying to get well, seem to be on my way now thanks to a doctor visit and some antibiotics. So I thought I would post something I made awhile back, but forgot to post! This is a birthday card that I made for our Neighbor's little boy, Patrick. He turned 2 in January and he is all about horses and cowboys. He would actually prefer to watch John Wayne movies over cartoons! For this card I used "Wild West", a fun set from The Angel Company. I love this little cowboy and have used him a lot! The sentiment is from "Ordinary Greetings" also from The Angel Company. I hope you are having a wonderful weekend, thanks for stopping by!

What I used:
Stamps: Wild West T2633
             Ordinary Greetings T2881
Ink: Memento Black
Colored with Copic Markers
Shapes cut with Nestabilities Stars and Circles

Happy Birthday Ava!

Today is my Niece's birthday. I hope she likes this card I made just for her, all pink and princessy (I don't think that is even a word?) just like her. I used the soon to be released set "Fairytale Fun" from The Angel Company. Thankfully, I have nieces that are still young enough to love princesses, even if my own sweet girl is not! Although she did have me stamp her some of this image so she could color them.... hmmm, maybe the princess thing is not totally over.
I colored her with Copic markers and added the tiny gems to her crown after I cut her out with a nestabiltity oval. What do you think?

I hope that your weekend is wonderful!

Birthday Kitty

Birthday cards are what I seem to need the most, all the time. I think this soon to be released new set from The Angel Company is so very cute, it is called "Cupcake Cuties", and it works perfectly for birthday cards! There are several images in this set that are adorable, I will post more in the next few days... The sentiment is from another TAC set called "Open Presents" I colored this using Copic markers, which I am very excited to say will also be available in the new catalog!!! To keep the kitty white, I just used a light grey marker to add some shadow, then lightly blended it out with the colorless blender pen. It's an easy way to achieve some depth without coloring the whole image. This same technique could be used with colored pencils and OMS. What do you think??
